Too often, animal cruelty crimes are not taken seriously, and violent abusers walk away scot-free or with minor and ineffective sentences just because their victim was an animal. Innocent animal victims deserve justice.
Animals feel pain and fear just as we do. Callous, cruel animal abusers who torture or kill animals must answer for their crimes with strong, effective sentencing to prevent future deaths.
