Take Action: Tell Your State Attorney General That the Punishment Must Fit the Crime!
Too often animal abusers get off easy just because their victim was a dog or cat. Innocent animal victims of abuse deserve justice — plain and simple. It’s past time our legal system recognizes and addresses animal cruelty as the serious crime it is!
Send a letter to your state Attorney General and tell them:
When it comes to animal abuse, the punishment should fit the crime!
Animals are some of the most vulnerable members of our society, and they need true legal protection. Too often, animal cruelty crimes are not taken seriously, and violent criminals face little to no consequences for the harm they inflict on innocent animals.
Animal victims deserve justice. For that to happen, animal abusers must be held accountable for their crimes. As a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, I support stronger enforcement of animal cruelty statutes, and appropriate, effective sentencing for animal abusers.
I know you are a person of kindness and compassion. I trust you will use the power of your office to advocate for justice for animal victims.
