Take Action: Urge Your State Legislators to Ban the Retail Sale of Puppies, Kittens, and Rabbits

Make New York the next state to stop pet stores from selling dogs, cats, and rabbits sourced from mills. Contact your New York state senator and assemblymember and ask them to support S.4234/A.6298.

There are two ways to take action:

  1. Call your state senator and assemblymember. Phone calls have much more impact than emails. If you’re able to make a phone call, please do so. You can use this message: “As your constituent, I urge you to support S.4234/A.6298 and protect animals and New Yorkers from the puppy mill industry.
    1. Find your state senator. Go to their website to find their phone number.
    2. Find your assemblymember. Go to their website to find their phone number.
  2. Send a follow-up email to your legislators using the form below. Please take a few minutes to personalize your message.
